I was initially hesitant to use the Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) for the skills portion but it's always good to try new tech. The experience was awesome. The VAM provides real-time feedback on your performance, and probably a finer accuracy compared to an instructor observing and giving feedback. The process for booking with CPR VAM was easy. I booked on the weekend. Only few steps: 1) make a profile online before arriving. 2) an email provides the codes for entering the building and office. 3) log-in and start the exam 4) receive your ecard via email shortly after. Great experience and this tech is definitely the way to refine your skills and build more confidence. I highly recommend booking with CPR VAM, so give it a try!

Super easy and although it’s self service, I felt guided and prepared through the whole process.

FAQs About the Arizona CPR Course

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions regarding CPR classes, certification, and AED guidelines in Arizona.

Most CPR courses in Arizona take about 2 to 4 hours to complete, depending on the training level. Basic CPR and AED courses are usually shorter, while advanced courses like BLS, ACLS, or PALS may take up to half a day. Once you pass the skills assessment, you typically receive your certification card the same day.

Yes. Online CPR certification is valid in Arizona as long as it includes a hands-on skills assessment from an approved provider. Many employers and organizations require a blended course that combines online learning with in-person skills testing. Always make sure your certification follows recognized guidelines such as those from the AHA or equivalent bodies.

Yes. Most employers in Arizona accept CPR certification, especially in healthcare, education, fitness, and childcare industries. However, they usually require certification from a recognized organization like the American Heart Association or the Red Cross. It’s always best to check your employer’s specific requirements before enrolling.

Yes. High school students and teens in Arizona are encouraged to take CPR classes. Many training centers offer beginner-friendly courses designed specifically for younger learners. There are usually no strict age limits, but students should be able to follow instructions and complete basic physical skills.

You should typically only bring a valid ID and comfortable clothing that allows you to practice chest compressions. All training equipment, including mannequins and AED trainers, is usually provided by the instructor. It’s also helpful to bring water and a notebook if you want to take notes.

Yes. Arizona law encourages the placement of AEDs in many public spaces such as schools, gyms, and government buildings. While not every private business is legally required to have one, many are required or strongly encouraged, depending on their size and type. AEDs must also be properly maintained and accessible in emergencies.
