Did my pals online portion ($270) and then paid $150 for this skills check off. Booked the night before! Showed up during my booked hour (8:00-9:00 I showed up at 8:20) and finished in less than 10 min. The location was easy to find. Follow the prompts in the email they send you. No instructor. Just entered the password on the keypad and let myself in, logged into the computer, did my skills on a dummy, and left. If you’ve done RQI before it’s the same process - but don’t worry my PALS card isn’t the RQI version it’s the real AHA one. Got my card sent to my email within the hour. Manikins were in good shape, didn’t take any extra effort/maneuvering to give breaths (the hospital versions of these stations always take like 2-3 people to get the adult dummy to take breaths 😂). The computer gives real time feedback on timing/depth/duration of cpr. Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer to wipe down dummies when you’re done. 10/10 would recommend.

Very accessible especially for last minute. Bag ventilation didn't work so well.
Excellent online learning modules and skills testing equipment
Great training! 10/10 recommend
Great process for those renewing. Self paced and plenty of time. I would just recommend placing a sign on the door so you know if the room is occupied or not.
Fast, easy, and excellent communication. A great way for providers to renew CPR Certification!
Straightforward course and skill session! 10/10 recommend
It was a great experience , great location and clear instructions. I recommend this place.
It was my first time with the VAM experience. It was honestly amazing. I loved the guidance and feedback throughout the whole process! I would definitely do it again and recommend it to others!
A super easy and convenient way to get your recert!
I was very happy with the whole overall experience. Especially the videos they provided prior to the skills test. They even have a “practice test” you can do before the actual test which was incredibly helpful. It helped calm my nerves and allows you to get a feel for what the real test will be like.
Super convenient. Did all the training virtually and it was a good training and interactive. The skills training was straightforward and easy to understand and complete. Highly recommend.
Great convenient location to get my CPR training. Straightforward, easy to setup and get started.
I needed to renew my Bls and came across this company on the aha website. The course was quick and informative for an online course. The skills test was also very quick and helpful to improve my skills.

AHA CPR Certification FAQs – Portland, OR

Yes. Most providers offer renewal options even after a card expires, though you may need to complete the full certification course rather than a simple refresher. Check the course prerequisites before you register so you know whether you must repeat both online and in-person components. Early renewal is usually simpler and may require less classroom time.

Absolutely. Our courses cover practical rescue skills that anyone can use during emergencies and are designed to be approachable for lay learners. If you want pediatric-focused instruction, select a course that covers child and infant care specifically. Instructors will adapt demonstrations and practice to match learners’ experience levels.

You should bring a government-issued photo ID and proof of completion for any required online portion, as well as any registration confirmation you received. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement since you’ll practice chest compressions and rescue techniques. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact the training center ahead of time so staff can accommodate you.

Training providers typically issue official electronic certification cards the same day you successfully complete the skills assessment. Some organizations will also supply printable paperwork or a verification link you can share with employers. If you need a mailed card or additional verification, ask the training center for options.

Yes. Many training centers schedule sessions outside typical business hours to fit commuters, shift workers, and busy families. Availability varies by location, so check the course calendar when you register or request a time that suits your schedule. Private on-site training may also be scheduled at times that work for your group.

ACLS and PALS are designed for clinicians and typically expect participants to have baseline medical knowledge and clinical responsibilities. Many programs require that students hold a current basic life support certification before enrolling. If you’re unsure about prerequisites, review the course description or contact the provider for guidance.
