Ease of registration, location an access, was 5 star. The only four star for me is even with watching the videos and playing with the mannequin. There was a clear issue with ventilation on the adult mannequin because the infant mannequin man those breaths. in there. You had to slow it way down. I also, noticed we’re on a real patient you would hover or keep your hands right on the chest with recoil, but not apply pressure and on these mannequins you had to take your hand completely off the chest. Other than that, room was great. Facility was great. I am old school in the fact that I don’t like that we just do mega code testing online with multiple choice. I don’t know how that’s ever going to build team dynamic how that’s going to check your med dosage/administration . Whether you’re confident when drawing it up, but I guess that’s what everyone’s going to. I don’t knock the facility at all for that. I don’t think that’s a good way of learning. I like the old school in person. Everybody runs a mega code. Everybody touches the Monitor. Everybody works on drawing up the drugs and team dynamics.

The online and in-person skills portion were both simple and straightforward. Not having someone in the room judging your skills definitely takes the pressure off lol. I will absolutely use them for my next renewal.

This was a great experience.
It was easy to get my online training done at home and schedule the testing quickly. The instructions for testing were clear and easy to follow. The troubleshooting before testing was right on the money and gave me tips on what to do before I started testing to set me up for success. I would highly recommend and I will be back for my Acls. Great setup! Easy system. Highly recommend you allow yourself at least 4 hours to complete modules (don’t cram night before). Take the time to watch the quick tips videos (the team is great at sending you the email). Otherwise, the skills lab was quick easy and fast. I do miss the classroom setting as it is always great to hear from the team and their real life experience, but that’s just me being sentimental.

Heart Start CPR was a great experience. Made renewing my card easy and it was convenient being able to do the lesson part on the lap top at home. The office was easy to find and it’s a room with the dummies and computer to guide you through the steps. Will definitely be going back when it’s time to renew again.

This was a great experience. Usually you have to go to a class and stay for an hour or 2 but this was quick and simple. It tested the fundamentals and took 25 minutes max. This is by far one of the best experiences I have had and I will for sure use them again. I just wish they had an office closer to my home

I was able to book my course for the next day with Heart Start CPR after I found out I needed my BLS certification. They have a lot of open time slots so that people with any type of schedule can get a time that works. The online course was helpful and I learned a lot. During the in person test I was able to call and get guidance in the areas I was struggling with.

I received my PALS certification from Heart Start CPR! A new and innovative way to receive your certifications. I completed the online modules prior to performing the hands-on skills, which was nice because it was self-paced and I was able to take my time and learn the information instead of flooding my brain with so much information in one day. The hands-on skills was daunting at first because there was no available live person to help or instruct me BUT, Jeff did provide instructions prior to arriving on site (which were detailed and thorough instructions - so make sure to pay attention!) The computer feedback was also very precise and clear. Overall, a different experience of obtaining certifications authorized by the American Heart Association. Don’t be nervous and breathe - you’ve got this!
