AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Certification

The AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course teaches participants how to respond to common medical emergencies by providing first aid, performing CPR, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). It’s designed for individuals, employees, teachers, childcare providers, and community members who want practical lifesaving skills without advanced medical training.

The blended learning format combines a self-paced online course with an instructor-guided hands-on skills session. Complete the online portion at your convenience, then attend your scheduled skills session to demonstrate competency before receiving your AHA certification.

Your AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification is valid for two years. To remain certified, you’ll need to complete a renewal course and successfully demonstrate your first aid, CPR, and AED skills.

During the skills session, an AHA-qualified instructor will guide you through first aid techniques, CPR, and AED use using training equipment and realistic emergency scenarios. You’ll receive coaching and feedback throughout the session to help you confidently demonstrate the required skills.
