Testimonials from Certified CPR Students in Idaho

This was simple and gave the clearest and in time feedback. Directions were clear and it gave a chance to redo and fix your mistakes
Easy process both online and skills. Finding the testing room can be an adventure. *Tested ACLS and PALS
Such a user-friendly program. I loved the online training that I could do at my own pace, which included videos and text also allowed me to print off anything that I wanted to reference later. I got plenty of communication about how to complete the skills test. The YouTube videos are super helpful and when you go to do the skills test, it’s a nice clean quiet environment and the program is supportive and really wants you to succeed. You can do practice and it gives immediate feedback. Highly recommend!
Very easy, great communication and feedback. I felt well prepared for the skills.
It was so much easier to renew my BLS certification through CPR VAM. The online portion was simple to use and it helped remind me of some BLS skills that I had forgotten. The skills portion in person was also very straightforward and I had no issue with it. Highly recommend getting or renewing your certifications through CPR VAM.
Convenient and easy to use. Someone is readily available if there are any questions or concerns.
I did my PALS course here and it was a great experience. Super easy to find and get to it. Quiet and private room (I used to always dislike having to perform CPR on a mannequin infront of a whole class). Room was clean and cared for!
Amazing experience! Heart Start CPR could not have made it easier to get my ACLS certification for PA school!
I did my BLS renewal here. So interesting how much has changed with technology.
I did the online portion which was straightforward and then I went to the facility. No instructor, took a little time to get used to working with the computer. No pressure though with no audience and getting multiple chances.
What I liked the most was how many availabilities there are. So if you’re in a pinch I bet you could get this done easily. My card was available right away.
Finding the place wasn’t too bad, the parking is a little tight so I had to drive around twice to work it out.
Wonderful AC, I was worried I was going to bust a sweat with the compressions.
If they could provide a syringe or regularly check that there is enough air in the masks because it was challenging to form a seal.

This is for the Chandler, Arizona facility
The certification process was extremely well rounded in a low stress environment.
Easy, fast, efficient way to renew your ACLS.
Online portion was interactive enough, and in person office is super clean and easy to follow instructions. I had an issue with rescheduling and staff was so friendly and fix the issues instantly!! Will recert through them again
I took a CPR class through Heart Start CPR and had a positive experience overall. There wasn’t a live instructor during my session, but the materials were clear and easy to follow. What really impressed me was their 24/7 support I was able to reach someone anytime I had a question, which made the process smooth and stress free. I’d recommend Heart Start CPR for anyone looking for a flexible and supportive way to get certified.
The whole experience was very user friendly. The online learning format was appreciated. The software kept asking a lot of questions , interspersed with new material, and any wrong answers would show up later as repeat questions. Starting a couple days before the in person skill session, I received links to short YouTube videos to watch which demonstrated the proper way to do the rescue breathing, chest compressions, and 2 person CPR. That may sound trivial but it came in handy. During the skill session the quality of the CPR is assessed by sensors within the manikin , which feeds to a computer coach giving performance improvement feedback. I thought that was helpful. I will use this course when I recertify in two years. Please be aware I attended a session in Oakland, CA as there are different testing centers.
Great instructors, easy process for recerts.
The program was easy to follow, no glitches, and Jeff was great, answered quickly by phone when I did have a question.
Very smooth process for recertification. I received a lot of emails outlining the process which helped me succeed easily.

Idaho CPR, BLS, ACLS & PALS FAQs

Find everything you need to know about CPR training, certification, and AED use in Idaho, all in one place.

CPR training is recommended for healthcare professionals, teachers, childcare providers, coaches, and workplace employees who may respond to emergencies. In Idaho, many employers and educational programs also require CPR certification as part of safety readiness. Even if it is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged for anyone responsible for others’ safety.

Yes. American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are widely accepted across Idaho. Schools, hospitals, clinics, and workplaces commonly require AHA-approved training to meet safety and compliance standards. Our certification is nationally recognized and valid for two years.

Many school districts in Idaho require teachers, coaches, and childcare staff to maintain CPR certification, especially those working with children or in physical activity settings. Requirements may vary by district or employer, but AHA-certified training is the most commonly accepted standard. It helps ensure staff can respond quickly during emergencies like choking or cardiac events.

In Idaho workplaces, CPR and AED readiness is guided by occupational safety expectations, especially in healthcare, education, construction, and public service roles. While not every job legally requires certification, many employers follow AHA and OSHA-aligned safety practices. Having trained staff improves emergency response and workplace safety compliance.

Yes. AED training is a core part of CPR and BLS certification courses. You will learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, operate an Automated External Defibrillator safely, and respond effectively in emergencies. The training follows American Heart Association guidelines to ensure real-world readiness and confidence.

AHA CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are valid for two years in Idaho and across the United States. After expiration, renewal is required to maintain an active certification status. Renewal ensures you stay updated with the latest emergency response techniques and AHA guideline changes.

Most CPR courses follow a simple three-step process: register for your chosen AHA course, complete online or blended learning modules, and attend a skills assessment. After completing the requirements, you receive your official AHA certification card. The process is designed to be flexible and efficient for busy learners.
